You are all sons of God through faith in Christ Jesus, for all of you who were baptized into Christ have clothed yourselves with Christ. There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham's seed, and heirs according to the promise. - Galatians 3:26-29 NIV

We will follow Him, the Great I Am.

Ladies Circle

All ladies who attend services at Countryside are invited and encouraged to participate in our labor for the Lord.
We Support our congregation and leaders through prayers, love. and service.
We meet the first Monday of every month at 7:00pm Preparation Ashley in the home of one of the ladies or at the church.
The hostess leads a short devotion to start our meeting off then we discuss the needs of our congregation and plan how we as the ladies can best meet those needs. The meeting is followed by food and/or an activity, designated by our monthly themes.
Contributions are collected at the meetings. This money is used to help cover costs of needs, and activities. Every third quarter a portion is donated to a mission of our choosing.

February Ladies Circle Meeting

Old Business

  1. Communion for Jr Church- will only be given to baptized believers

  2. Birthday and Anniversaries- recognized in the bulletin and they will go first at linger longer

  3. Noise before services- this has been reduced

  4. Open Arms Ministry (the Beamons)- Linda made a motion that we keep this ministry in mind when we are planning our Christmas mission and consider giving them a one time donation at that time. Seconded by Alice, all agreed.

New business

1.      Valentine boxes made by Judy Dean. Cards purchased by Joanne Griffin. Ladies will fill with sugar free soft candies and deliver Saturday Feb 13th to Primetime. They will fill the boxes the Wednesday before Valentine’s day.

2.      Crowded vestibule table with mugs, leaflets, etc.- after much discussion it was unanimously decided to keep the mugs off of the table and have someone from the church personally hand them out to visitors. In addition the ladies will begin looking for a wooden rack to hold the paper materials- we will ask Jim if he has a catalog of such furniture.

3.      Clarification of Pregnancy Crisis center donations for May- we plan on taking both an offering at our Ladies Circle meeting as well as opening up to the whole congregation the opportunity to donate items that month.

4.      Reminder: March 2011 is our next time to host the district ladies meeting. It is never too soon to start thinking of good ideas for this.
